To the Members of Chess Collectors International
Re.: German Chess Collector’s Meeting from October 8th - 10th, 2010 in Nuremberg, Germany
July 21st , 2010

Dear Members and Friends of CCI,

Our last meeting in Naumburg was a memorable event with numerous attendants from Germany and abroad. There we decided to consider Nuremberg as the venue for our next meeting.

Nuremberg, the town of the great Albrecht Dürer, not only offers many historical sites of interest but also a wonderful collection of chess sets and boards in the Germanic National Museum.

As last year in Naumburg we will have a chess market. If you wish to bring chess items for sale or exchange please inform us to enable us to arrange for sufficient space.

For us this is a good opportunity to invite you and your friends to join us for a chess weekend in Nuremberg from October 8th to 10th, 2010.

Enclosed you will find the provisional program together with some material about the town of Nuremberg including a city map and a hotel broshure with directions. We ask you to make your own hotel reservations using the key word “Chess
Collectors” at:

MARITIM Hotel Nuernberg
Frauentorgraben 11, D-90443 Nuernberg
telephone +49 911 2363-0
fax +49 911 2363-823

Our special rates per night, including breakfast are: Single room € 89.00, double room € 117.00. A contingent of rooms will be held for us up to September 10th, 2010. Parking space is available in the Hotel garage at a special rate of EUR 10.00 per day.

In order to ensure a smooth and uncomplicated meeting we have negotiated special rates with the museums and restaurants. Thus we have combined all costs in a participation fee of EUR 95.00 per person that includes:

  • All entry fees and guided tours on October 9th and 10th, 2010
  • Dinner on October 8th, 2010 (incl. beverages)
  • lunch on October 9th, 2010 (incl. beverages)
  • Beverages and cookies during the coffee break
  • Dinner on October 9th, 2010, (incl. beverages)

We kindly ask you to transfer this sum beforehand to the following CCI-account. The payment also serves as your registration:
